Q & A with Bonnie, Miik's Office Manager/Bookkeeper/Showroom Expert/Customer Service

One of the great things about Miik is that we're a small team of real people who genuinely love our brand. We enjoy working together and we love making beautiful clothes. When you call, e-mail or drop by Miik's office, you get to chat with Bonnie. We think she's pretty amazing. When I asked Bonnie what her job title was, she couldn't tell me. That's how essential she is -- she's doing so many thing you can't put a label on her job!

Q: How are you involved with Miik? What do you do?

A: Officially, my job is bookkeeper but I also do customer service and just about anything else that needs to be done. The nice thing about working for Miik is that everyone pitches in. My boss will often do deliveries, clean up our show room and buy lunch for clients. We're a small, close team.

Q: What is most important to you as a person?

A: Kindness.

Q: Tell us about an average day in the life of Bonnie.

A: My days are full with e-mails, sorting orders, deliveries, answering the phones and bookkeeping. Evenings and weekends you'll find me reading, going to the movies and hanging out with my friends and family. I like doing something out of the ordinary from time to time, of course. Last month I went to NYC and had an amazing time.

Q: Why is customer service so important to you?

A: There is no better feeling than having someone excited about their Miik purchase. Shopping should be exciting!

Q: Tell us about your favourite Miik pieces this season.

A: I love the Maggie inverted dress, the Robin short cardi, the Ashley pocket much good stuff!

Q: What appeals to you about Miik as a company?

A: The people I work with are great. They want to make the best product they can, and they want it to be as Canadian and local as possible.

Q: What are you wearing right now?

Dark jeans and our Madison asymmetrical top in purple, my favourite colour. Super comfy for work - I feel great in it!
