Taking care of your Miik

Posted on August 17 2016

We design our clothes to be sustainable. Not only meaning that we make environmentally sound choices with the fabric and manufacturing process, we also ensure that each Miik piece is made to last so it doesn't end up in a landfill after just one season. One of the best ways to ensure your Miik pieces last a lifetime is to take proper care of them. We know life is busy, and no one wants to spend time worrying about laundry. Just one of the reasons we've developed our custom-milled fabrics, to ensure that care is relatively easy.

For shirts, skirts, dresses, leggings and cardis made of sorona, modal and rayon from bamboo:
Machine wash in cold water and hang or lay flat to dry.

For blazers:
Dry-clean only, due to fusing that is sewn into the jackets, which gives them their beautiful structure and shape.

For linen shirts and cardis:
Hand wash and hang to dry to maintain shape.

Our garments do not require ironing. If your Miik piece needs freshening up, we recommend throwing it in the dryer with a dampened wash cloth. When traveling, simply hang to allow the weight of the fabrics to smooth out any wrinkles.

By taking proper care of your Miik, we can assume you that the shape and colour will stay just like new! Your garment will retain its shape and colour, it will not pill like other natural fibres. We stand by our promise, your Miik items will stand the test of time, season after season. So go on, wear your Miik clothes proudly and boldly!
