What qualifies as a small, local Canadian business?

Any independent, Canadian-owned small business qualifies! Whether it’s a local coffee shop, independent bookstore, local kids’ boutique, handmade home goods artisan, or shoe store—if it’s a small Canadian business, your receipt counts! Since we want to share the love, a Miik receipt does not qualify (but we love you right back)!

Can I purchase from Miik and upload that receipt to get the special discount code?

We love your support for Miik, it means the world to us! The point of this campaign is to help uplift other small businesses around us, so we ask that you make a purchase from a different brand to get the special code.

Is there a minimum spend required on the receipt?

Nope, there is no minimum spend required. Any purchase you make from a small Canadian business during the month of August qualifies you for the 15% off code!

Does my purchase have to be made in August?

Yes, to keep the movement going throughout August, receipts must be dated between August 1st and August 31st, 2026.

Can I submit an online/e-receipt or a bank screenshot?

E-receipts, order confirmation emails, or photos/screenshots of physical itemized receipts are all accepted! As long as we can clearly see the business name, date, and itemized purchase, you're good to go. Though these receipts will be kept private, please ensure any personal information is removed or blurred out from the image before uploading.

Can I submit multiple receipts to get multiple 15% codes?

We love your enthusiasm for supporting local! The 15% discount code is limited to one single-use code per customer. However, if you share a photo of your purchase on Instagram and tag @miikinc plus the brand, you'll also be entered to win a $200 Miik Gift Card!

How long does it take to receive my 15% OFF code after I submit?

Once you upload your receipt on our website, our team verifies it and sends your unique 15% off promo code to your email within several business days. Make sure to check your spam/promotions folder just in case!

Can I use this 15% OFF code on the upcoming September Fall launches?

Yes! That’s the most exciting part of this campaign. While our brand-new collection launches normally never go on sale at launch, this 15% OFF code is valid on both of our upcoming Fall drops in September! You'll be able to use your code until September 30th, 2026.

When does the 15% OFF code expire, and can I stack it with other discounts?

Your code is single-use and valid until September 30th, 2026. Please note that it cannot be combined with other promo codes, reward points redemption, or sale section discounts. It only applies to applicable regular-priced items.

Do I have to post on social media to get the 15% off code?

Not at all! Uploading your receipt at miik.ca/pages/keep-it-canadian-challenge guarantees you your 15% off code once our team validates the purchase. Posting a photo of your purchase on social media (and tagging @miikinc + the local brand) is completely optional—it enters you into our bonus draw for a $200 Miik Gift Card!
