CONTEST RULES

(the “Official Rules”)

Miik Virtual Live Show Giveaways

(the “Contest”)

These Official Rules govern the Contest. By participating or attempting to participate in the Contest, you will be deemed to have received, understood, and agreed to these Official Rules.

1. WHO ARE THE SPONSORS?

The Contest is sponsored and administered by Miik Inc. Miik Inc. is referred to as the “Sponsor”.

Although the Contest may be communicated, promoted, or administered by means of a third-party social media or social networking service or site (a “Third Party Service”), the Contest is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, any Third Party Service; any questions, comments or complaints regarding the Contest should be directed to Miik Inc. and not to any Third Party Service.

2. WHO MAY ENTER THE CONTEST?

The Contest is open only to residents of Canada who have reached the age of majority in their province or territory of residence as of the date of entry.

The following individuals are not eligible to enter the Contest:

  • (a) employees, officers, directors, agents, and representatives of: (i) the Sponsor, or any of their respective parents, subsidiaries or affiliates; (ii) any prize suppliers; (iii) any and all other companies associated with the Contest;

    (b) a household member of any of the individuals listed in (a), above, whether or not related;

     

3. WHEN DOES THE CONTEST START/END?

The Contest occurs dynamically on the date of any scheduled Miik Virtual Live Show event (each, a "Live Show"). Eligible entrants may enter the Contest between 6:00 PM ET and 9:30 PM ET on the night of that specific Live Show (the “Entry Period”). All times referenced in these Official Rules are Eastern Time.

4. HOW DO I ENTER THE CONTEST?

No purchase is necessary to enter the Contest. To enter, individuals must visit the designated landing page during the Entry Period and fully complete the entry form by providing their first name, last name, and valid email address.

Important CASL Disclosure: Agreeing to receive marketing emails or commercial electronic communications from the Sponsor is completely optional and is not a requirement to enter the Contest. Checking or unchecking an email subscription box will not affect an entrant’s odds of winning.

5. HOW MANY TIMES MAY I ENTER THE CONTEST?

There is a limit of one (1) entry per person, per email address, per Live Show event.

6. COULD MY ENTRY BE REFUSED OR REJECTED?

Your entry could be refused or rejected if:

(a) you attempt to enter the Contest in a fashion not authorized by these Official Rules;

(b) your entry contains false or misleading information, or is late, falsified, illegible, damaged or incomplete or otherwise irregular;

(c) your entry is submitted using robotic, automated, programmed, or other illicit means; or

(d) your entry is not in compliance with these Official Rules.

In addition, the Sponsor reserves the right to refuse any entry for any other reason as they may determine in their sole discretion.

7. WHAT ARE THE CONDITIONS OF ENTRY?

By entering the Contest:

  • (a) you agree to be bound by these Official Rules and by the decisions of the Sponsor, which decisions are final, binding and conclusive;

  • (b) you represent and warrant that your entry material is original to you, you have all necessary rights to it, and it does not involve content that is inappropriate or offensive;

  • (c) you agree that the Sponsors shall have the right at any time to require proof of identity or eligibility to enter the Contest; failure to provide any such proof upon request may result in disqualification;

  • (d) you release and forever discharge the Sponsors, their respective parents, affiliates, and subsidiaries, Miik Inc., any other companies associated with the Contest, and all of their respective directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives, licensees, successors and assigns, as well as any Third Party Services, and agree to indemnify and hold harmless each of them from and against any and all claims, damages or liability arising out of your participation or the use/misuse of any prize.

8. WHAT ARE THE CONTEST PRIZES?

There are three (3) prizes available to be won for each individual Live Show event. Each prize consists of one (1) Miik e-gift card valued at $100.00 CAD. The total approximate retail value of all prizes per Live Show event is $300.00 CAD.

9. ARE THERE ANY PRIZE CONDITIONS?

In addition to any prize conditions provided elsewhere in these Official Rules, any prize awarded in the Contest is subject to the following conditions:

  • (a) The prize must be accepted as awarded and may not be transferred, exchanged, or substituted for cash, unless otherwise determined by the Sponsor.

  • (b) The prize may not be resold.

  • (c) Any unused portion of the e-gift card will remain on the card for future use in accordance with standard store policies. The prize will not be replaced if lost, stolen, or used without authorization.

  • (d) Delivery of the digital e-gift card will be provided electronically to the winner's validated email address.

10. HOW WILL THE POTENTIAL WINNER(S) BE SELECTED?

Following the close of the Entry Period (approximately 9:30 PM ET on the night of the Live Show), or by 10:00 AM ET on the next business day, the Sponsor will conduct a random electronic draw from among all eligible entries received during that specific Live Show's Entry Period.

Three (3) entrants will be randomly selected as potential winners and notified via the email address provided at the time of entry. In the event any potential winner does not respond to such notification within seven (7) days, declines the prize for any reason, or fails to meet the requirements set forth in these Official Rules, they will be disqualified, and the Sponsor may randomly select an alternate potential winner from the remaining eligible entries.

11. HOW CAN A POTENTIAL WINNER BECOME A WINNER?

To be declared an official winner, a potential winner:

  • (a) must correctly answer, without assistance of any kind (whether human, mechanical, or electronic), a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question to be administered by the Sponsor via email, phone, or a secure online form within a designated time window (e.g., 24 hours from presentation);

  • (b) must be in full compliance with these Official Rules;

  • (c) may be required to provide proof of identification to confirm eligibility or to claim a prize.

12. WHAT ARE THE ODDS OF WINNING A PRIZE?

The odds of winning depend entirely on the total number of eligible entries received during the designated Entry Period for that specific Live Show event.

13. HOW DO I CLAIM A PRIZE?

Once a potential winner is successfully confirmed as an official winner (including the verification of the skill-testing question), the $100.00 CAD digital Miik e-gift card will be promptly emailed to the winner. If a winner’s email bounce-backs or if the winner fails to claim the digital delivery instructions within thirty (30) days, the prize will be deemed forfeited.

14. WILL I APPEAR IN ANY PUBLICITY IF I AM A WINNER?

By accepting a prize, you agree that the Sponsor may use your first name, last initial, and general city/province of residence for promotional announcements related to the Live Show or future contests (e.g., "Congrats to Sarah M. from Toronto for winning tonight's giveaway!") on social media or email broadcasts without further notice or compensation.

15. HOW WILL MY PERSONAL INFORMATION BE COLLECTED, USED AND DISCLOSED?

By entering the Contest, you consent to Miik Inc.’s collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information for the sole purpose of administering and tracking this Contest in accordance with the Miik Inc. Privacy Policy, available at https://www.miik.ca/policies/privacy-policy

If you voluntarily checked the opt-in box to subscribe to Miik Inc.'s marketing newsletter, your information will also be used to send you promotional updates, from which you can unsubscribe at any time.

16. HOW DO THE RELEASEES LIMIT THEIR LIABILITY?

The Releasees assume no liability for stolen, late, incomplete, illegible, or misdirected entries, or for any technical glitches, network connectivity failures, live stream disruptions, or computer hardware/software failures that may prevent a user from submitting their entry form during the live event.

17. WHAT LAWS APPLY TO THE CONTEST?

The Contest is governed by the federal laws of Canada and the provincial laws of Ontario. Any attempt to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of this contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws.

18. CAN THE SPONSOR CANCEL OR AMEND THE CONTEST?

 Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, modify, or suspend the Contest or amend these Official Rules at any time without prior notice if a virus, bug, technical failure, or human error compromises the security, fairness, or proper administration of the giveaway.
