About our design contest

The Made by Miik Design Contest invites our Canadian customers to send in their dream clothing design, then our team picks the Top 10 submissions before the Miik community votes for the winner — and yes, there are prizes (scroll down for the juicy details!).

Since 2021, we’ve run this contest once or twice a year, and July 2026 marks our eighth round and fifth anniversary of the contest! Miik has always been designed for women, by women, and that means listening to you. This contest is our way of turning your ideas into reality — and having a whole lot of fun while we’re at it.

SPRING SUMMER 2026
Charlotte half sleeve pocket dress

The winner of our most recent contest was submitted by Joan Y. of Woodstock, ON. The half-sleeve, relaxed dress was produced in our Spring/Summer 2026 collection!

Submitted by Aprile B. of Scarborough, ON! This classic tee was the sole winner for SS25 and features the same details as the top of our Stef jumpsuit!

Chris 3/4 sleeve top

Submitted by Christine T. of Toronto, ON, the Chris is a staple piece you need in your wardrobe! The sole winner for FW24, this flowy top has now been restocked in several colours.

The first place winner of the SS24 contest was submitted by Rakhee C. of London, ON! This gorgeous flutter sleeve wrap dress is named after Rakhee's daughter.

FALL WINTER 2022
Yasmina collar blouse

All our contest winners are instant bestsellers - and the Yasmina is no exception! We even brought this back for Spring/Summer 2025 since it's the perfect layering piece. Kudos to Yasmina S. of Gatineau, QC, who won first place with this submission!

FALL WINTER 2022
Rebel midi flounce dress

The Rebel dress is another design that several entrants submitted - Kelly F., and Karen B.! It was submitted for Fall/Winter 2022 as a variation of our first ever design contest winner, the RJ dress. The Rebel got second place after the Yasmina blouse, so we decided to make it, too!

There were so many votes for our top 3 designs for the Fall/Winter 2022 contest, that we also made the third place style, submitted by Martha M.!

Submitted by Barbara from Little Britain, ON, this charming tank was a runner-up in our first-ever design contest!

Hilden ballet top

After becoming the second place winner in our first ever design contest, the Hilden ballet top became a staple in everybody's wardrobe! Submitted by Genevieve of Hilden, NS, the Mahala top was also inspired by this design!

SPRING SUMMER 2022
RJ midi flounce dress

The RJ dress, submitted by Susan M. of Calgary, AB, won our first ever design contest in August 2021! When it launched in Spring 2022, the RJ midi dress was an instant hit, in no small part due to its hidden pockets!

Step 1) Design

Design a piece of clothing you want to be made by Miik!

The style you submit can be:

  • a sketch
  • a photo of a style you like with notes on what you'd change

You don't have to be an artist - you'll include a description, too, so any rough sketch or edited image will be accepted! Plus, you can submit as many designs as you like. Just make sure they're suited to Spring/Summer!

The winning design will be produced in our SPRING/SUMMER 2027 collection next year!

Step 2) Vote

YOU, our Miik customers, will VOTE on which design wins and will be produced in our Spring/Summer 2027 collection!

The Miik team will narrow down all of the submissions to the top ten designs we know we can make happen, and create a survey for everyone to vote on their favourite option. The design with the highest amount of votes, wins!

Step 3) Win!

YOUR votes decide our winner! The top design with the most votes will receive prizes and have their design made by Miik.

The designer of the style with the most votes will WIN...

  • The opportunity to name their style
  • The piece they designed for themself AND a friend
  • A $200 Miik gift card

Terms & Conditions

Entrants to the design contest must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada. Entrants may submit more than one design. The deadline for submissions is Thursday, July 16, 2026 11:59PM PT. No entries are guaranteed to be chosen for the top ten (10) or as the winning design. The top ten (10) designs will be chosen by the Miik Inc. team internally based upon factors which include, but are not limited to, possibility of production, likelihood of sales, and opinion of the style. The top ten (10) designs will be voted upon in a public forum (Miik Inc.'s website) where the general public may choose which design is their favourite and submit a vote for it. Voting will open July 22, 2026 and close July 26, 2026. The top design(s) with the most votes as of July 26, 2026 at 11:59PM PT will be declared the winner(s). Designs/submissions which Miik chooses to be similar in nature will be grouped and the prize will be split amongst the entrants of those admissions. Miik will choose a first place winner and reserves the right to choose as many runner-ups as we deem appropriate. The 1st place winner will be announced via Miik Inc.'s chosen channels on July 28, 2026. The winner(s) of the design contest will be required to review and sign an agreement prior to the production of the winning style. The winner(s) will be contacted via email and/or phone and, should they comply with Miik's terms, the first place winner will receive two (2) of the items of clothing which they designed once they are produced, will have the opportunity to name the style they created, and will receive a digital 200.00CAD Miik gift card for use on miik.ca. The selected runner-ups, if any are chosen and announced by Miik Inc., will each receive one (1) of the items of clothing which they designed once they are produced and will have the opportunity to name the style they each created. Should more than one person win a prize due to submission similarities, the prize will be split as determined by Miik. The prize(s) are not redeemable as cash.
