Something our Founder Donna has always been passionate about is giving back. She knew that when she started Miik, it had to be about more than just sustainable, buttery soft clothes — for her it had to mean something more. She wanted to build a business that would help to uplift organizations and communities. We are so excited to be making this dream a reality, one step at a time. Our desire is that as we continue to grow, we are also able to continually contribute to our society in meaningful ways, that make a big impact.
It's in our DNA
Here are some of the ways we've been able to give back with your help:
Plan International Canada
Every Miik purchase helps send girls to school. Since December 2020, we've sent over 1600 young women in developing countries to school through Plan Canada's Gifts of Hope, and continue to grow this number with every purchase you make. Miik is made by women, for women and empowering each other is something we do every day — and Plan Canada helps us extend that to young women around the world.

Throughout the year we run special campaigns, like choosing an organization that supports equity-deserving groups to donate a percentage of our sales to, as well as donating to causes aiding in emergency situations. Here are some of the amazing Canadian-based organizations we've been able to support because of you. And this is only the beginning!
March 2022: Donated $5,000 to Help Us Help, aiding Ukrainian civilians in war-torn areas by providing much-needed first-aid kits. Learn how you can #standforUkraine here
November 2021: Donated $10,000 to United Way British Columbia's Flood Response Fund to help affected B.C. communities in the aftermath of the 2021 floods
September 2021: Helped 16 survivors transition to a life free from violence with Shelter Movers, who use donations to provide no-cost moving and storage services to women and children fleeing gender-based violence
July 2021: Donated $10,000 for Indspire to support Indigenous education
Without you, none of this could have been possible. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
