      V-style waistband

      Welt back pockets

Straight or slightly flared pant leg

Like the Avery pant but with wider legs

“Essentially, a slightly-flared-cut Avery pant! I really like the look of the Avery, but my large calves mean slim pants are usually a no-go. Would love to see a mildly flared version (or a generous straight cut). A V-shaped panel in the front to elongate the waist/waistband. Add some welt pockets in the back, to look nice and clean when empty but still have space for a Presto card and keys. Bonus if the pockets could be big enough to fit a phone!” - Tina

Submitted by Nicolette B. of Toronto, ON

      Contrasting half-zip

      Pullover length reaches the hip

      Thumb holes

“This sweater/top is a half-zip in a heavy+ fabric like French terry. It would hit at the hip. Thumb hooks would be fun, or a contrast colour on the zip to give it some punch. For those wanting a less sporty look, it would be available in a solid colour without the contrasting racing stripe.” - Nicolette

      3/4 length sleeves

Crossover front with centred tulip hem

Submitted by Nancy M. of Belleville, ON

      Cropped length

      Slightly boxy fit

      Back-to-front reversible

Reverses from wide scoopneck to v-neck

      Neck and waist bands

“I’m looking for this cropped sweatshirt-style top right now in white, but this could be a staple piece in any colour and any season. Reversible with a generous, wide scoop on one side, a V on the reverse and styled with a boxy fit.” - Nancy

Submitted by Shirley H. of Guelph, ON

      Slight puff shoulders

      Scoopneck with buttoned keyhole cutout

      Long sleeves with gathered wrist

Elastic gathered at the natural waist

      Straight leg cut

      Front pockets

“Top half with the sleeves and buttoned keyhole opening of the beautiful new Janice short jumper. I would love it done with full-length sleeves, but still with that trim that allows you to push it up to 3/4. The shoulders could be slightly gathered as in the Janice romper. I picture a relaxed fit with that gathered waistband, and possibly a removable sash. And I’d love pockets! (Pockets rock!) I was imagining a straight leg cut for a long leggy look, although it could work well with the leg cut of the Perle.” - Shirley

Submitted by Yasmina S. of Gatineau, QC

      Split v-neck blouse

      Hip length

      Front faux placket

      Short sleeves

Submitted by Jocelyn A. of Regina, SK

Layered front like the Alden top

      Tulip hem in the front

      Tunic length

      Long sleeves

      Rounded hem in the back

“I love love love your tulip tops! Both pieces I have purchased have been sleeveless — would love to see something available for fall-winter wear.” - Jocelyn

Submitted by Michelle B. of Jordan Falls, NS + Lindsay M. of Abbotsford, B.C.

      Round neck

      Elbow-length or long sleeves

Peplum flair that starts at natural waist

      Hip length

“This is a submission for the Peplum Top. Sleeve reaches to the elbow, with a high round neckline. The peplum starts just above the belly button and has pleats (4) in the front.” - Michelle

“A classic peplum top with a round neckline and figure-flattering feminine shape. This simple design has no harsh trendy cuts. Rather, it pulls in at the natural waist and has a soft flair that ends at the hip line (or just below, depending on your height). Can easily be dressed up with a pencil skirt or dress pants, or dressed down with jeans.” - Lindsay

Diane S. of Ottawa, ON + Geneviéve M.L. of Hilden, NS also submitted similar peplum tops and will receive prizes if this design is chosen as a winner!

Submitted by Kelly F. of Ontario + Karen B. of Whitby, ON

Kelly + Karen submitted similar dress ideas that we combined into one design.

      Back-to-front reversible

      Reverses from v-neckline to boatneck

Omitting pockets since it is reversible

      Fit and flare silhouette

      3/4-length or long sleeves

      Midi length

“This design really just copies 2 designs from your spring collection (Hilden top, RJ dress). A midi, fit and flare dress that has 3/4 or long sleeves to take us into the fall.” - Kelly

“This dress steals its style from the award-winning RJ Flounce Midi, but adds an additional touch of glamour and the warmth of long sleeves for fall and winter. It has long, fairly fitted, sleeves. The pockets of the RJ Flounce Midi are omitted - because this version is reversible! When the dress is reversed, the boatneck turns into a sexy V-neck.” - Karen

      SUBMISSION #10
Submitted by Laura B. of Toronto, ON

      Back-to-front reversible

Reverses from sweetheart neckline to a scoopneck

Tie at the back of the neck that can be hidden

      Side slits on either side

      3/4-length sleeves

“My reversible top (because I know Miik is awesome at offering reversible tops) features a sweetheart neckline and a gentle scoop neck with a small tie that can be tied into a bow at the back as a sexy feature or hidden inside the top. It features slits at the base so that it can be worn elegantly atop a skirt or pants, or tucked in. It could also be tied at the waist with a Miik belt.” - Laura
