Canadian-made clothing, eh?
For us, making clothing in Canada isn’t just a trend—it’s at the heart of everything we do! Since day one, Miik has proudly been Canadian, committed to local, ethical production. Every step of our process, from milling and dyeing our fabrics to cutting and sewing the finished garments, happens within 50 km of our Toronto headquarters.
By keeping our production local, we’re able to:
- Support Canadian jobs – From fabric mills to sewing studios, we work with skilled tradespeople right here at home.
- Lower our carbon footprint – Producing everything within 50 km of our Toronto headquarters means less transportation and fewer emissions.
- Ensure fair and safe working conditions – We regularly visit our contractors to make sure every person involved in making our clothing is treated with respect.
- Keep quality consistent – Being hands-on at every stage means we can fine-tune the details and make sure everything meets our standards.
- Work with talented local people – Canada has incredible artisans, pattern makers, and sewers, and we’re proud to collaborate with them.
We’re closely involved at every stage—visiting the mills where our fabrics are knit, working with dye houses to perfect our colours, and doing fittings in our studio to ensure the perfect fit. But it’s not just about the clothes—it’s about the people behind them. Every person involved in making Miik pieces deserves a safe, fair, and respectful workplace. That’s why our production team, Jodi and Stef, visit our contractors multiple times a week, while our founder Donna and CEO Sue check in regularly to uphold our ethical and sustainability standards.
“Producing everything in Canada costs more financially, but producing overseas costs more ethically – and that is a cost we are not willing to pay.” – Miik CEO, Sue Cadman
While recent U.S. tariff changes may impact brands relying on international supply chains, nothing changes for us! All our production is done locally in Canada, meaning no unexpected price hikes or delays—just the same consistent, ethically made fashion you love.

Sustainability at our core
At Miik, we're passionate about reducing the carbon footprint of our clothing, and we know that every little bit counts. Keeping production local doesn’t just support Canadian jobs, it also reduces the carbon footprint of every Miik piece by limiting how far our materials travel. Since 2020, Miik customers have collectively offset over 1.1 MILLION pounds of carbon emissions through their Miik purchases with Carbon Checkout donations.
When you choose Miik, you’re not just getting high-quality, Canadian-made clothing—you’re investing in local talent, fair wages, and a fashion industry that values people and the planet. We’re proud to work with incredible local manufacturers and contractors, knowing that every purchase helps keep the Canadian garment industry alive.
And we wouldn’t have it any other way.
