When two female-founded Canadian brands with a shared passion for sustainability come together, it feels like pure magic. Miik recently hosted Jenn Harper, founder and CEO of Cheekbone Beauty, at our studio to shoot our 2026 Fall Collection and share some of her top picks.
Between outfit changes and filming videos, we swapped stories about navigating the world of small business, sustainable fashion in Canada and Indigenous-owned clean cosmetics. When we first collaborated together in June, Jenn fell in love with Miik's buttery soft yet tailored styles, and Donna fell in love with Cheekbone Beauty! She loved the simplicity of their 5 minute makeup routine with eco-friendly products.

- Emily Soft Stretchy Blazer: An absolute essential! Jenn couldn’t believe that Miik blazers feel like a cozy cardigan, but deliver a polished, tailored silhouette. Perfect for long conference days where Jenn needs to look professional for a speaking engagement, but also be comfy enough for 8-12 hours on the go. After our shoot, Jenn took home a signature black Emily blazer with a gold button! 2. Samara wide leg pant: Jenn took these pants home after our photoshoot as well! Polished and put together, but the comfort of your sweatpants. Jenn loved that while the fabric is still super stretchy, Samara’s elastic waistband helps you feel more supported and held in at the waist. Dress down with a sweater or up with a blazer, and you’re out the door.
3. Jaylinn jogger: “Oh yeah, I’d wear these every day” was the first thing Jenn said when she tried them on. Once you try Modal fleece… there’s really no going back! For casual days working from home or everyday errands, these fleece joggers will carry you through the coldest of Canadian winters.
4. Montana cardigan: Partner in crime to the Jaylinn jogger, the Montana cardigan completes the fleece set you need this winter. 5. Lucia top: “The perfect dress shirt to wear on the days you feel a bit bloated! I loved trying this shirt on set and tucking it in for a super professional look. But I tried it untucked too, and the days where I’m just feeling a bit bloated or on my period and still need to look professional - I’d be reaching for this shirt every day.”

Donna Smith’s Cheekbone Edit
Donna has never been into heavy makeup looks and was blown away by Cheekbone’s focus on supporting women with mature skin. 2. Balance Blush + Bronzer Duo: This duo is the perfect combo that gives you both products in one! They go on so easy and add very natural warmth and dimension. Not to mention they blend into your skin perfectly!
3. Mattifying moon dust: “I never understood a setting powder until I tried this. My makeup stays on all day and I can do a full day photoshoot for Miik and I don’t need to worry about re-applying throughout the day!
4. Fearless Eyeshadow Mini: “These eyeshadows are small but mighty. They glide on effortlessly, and the colour options are all gorgeous!”
5. Harmony Lip Gloss: “Yes, I’m a lip gloss girl through and through. This is the one product I need to be wearing when I leave the house. Try the shade ‘petal’ and thank me later!”
