The Reed is designed to have some added length so it can be worn with heels. Therefore, recommendations on length take this intended fit into account; but it’s always preference-based, too! For details on the pant’s inseam, see below.

PANT INSEAM, REGULAR LENGTH: 30” — While this is the inseam of the pant itself, we recommend anyone with an inseam of 5'4" to 5'9" wear this length. Measure your inseam to the ankle bone, not the floor.

Waistband: 2.5"
Front rise including waistband: 12.5"

PANT LENGTH
We've started offering some pants and even our bestselling Lisa legging in three different inseams: short, regular, and long. Use your inseam measurement (crotch to ankle bone) to determine what pant length works best for you. We've included height estimates as well, but please be aware that those are generic, and that your inseam is more accurate to determine which length will work best for you!

CHEST/BUST MEASUREMENT

While measuring, wear the bra you typically like to wear under your clothes (or no bra, if that's your preference!).

Stand up straight and wrap the tape under your arms and across your back, over the fullest part of your chest. Make sure the tape is lying flat and isn't twisted. Breathe normally, noticing the variations as you breathe and record the highest number in inches or centimetres.

WAIST MEASUREMENT

Wear a fitted shirt while you measure. Measure the smallest part between your hips and your bust. Usually this will be about 2-3 inches above your belly button.

Take a breath out and then rest the tape against your skin, but do not pull tight while you record the number.

HIP MEASUREMENT

Wear more fitted clothing, like leggings, as you measure. Measure the widest point of your hips, including your tummy and derriere as you wrap around. Make sure the tape is lying flat and isn't twisted.

Rest the tape comfortably against your skin and don’t pull tight when you record the number.

INSEAM MEASUREMENT

Our inseam measurements reflect the measurement from the pubis to the ankle bone (not to the floor, like some inseam measurements). Record the measurement from the inside of your leg, from your crotch to your ankle bone while you stand up straight.

You may need help with this one – hold the top of the tape under your crotch while a friend holds the other end at your ankle bone and records the measurement from there.

Great pants!

Love the fabric and the cut. Lost one star because although they fit well the waistband is tighter than I’d like it to be.

Soft, but measurements are off

This is the second pair I ordered. They were both much longer than the description. That took some of the joy away.

Fits great

I love the high waist that doesn't cause the dreaded "muffin top" and is very slimming. The length is good for as I'm 5 8" but any taller and them would be a bit short. These are great for work and for travel. Please make these a regular item.

Very comfortable and stylish straight pant

The Reed pants are great. They look like a straight leg dress pants but are super comfortable. It’s worth noting that the inseam is longer in the charcoal stripe than in the pine. I have both colours and had to hem the charcoal ones. I think it’s now mentioned on the website.
Aside from that, a great pant.
