      Soft, Uber comfortable!

I decided to give it a couple of months before i reviewed these pants so i could really wear them and get ‘acquainted’ 😊 needlessto say we’ve gotten to know each other really well because i can’t stop wearing them! I have a pair in the black french terry and the grey houndstooth. These pants are super soft, stretchy, streamlined and oh so comfortable. They are extremely versatile, and can be worn casually or dressed up for work because of the more ‘tailored’ silhouette. Miik has been generous with the length as i have had to have mine taken up, ( and my legs are long) but i appreciate the fact that this gives them some versatility ( you can roll them, cuff them or hem them!). I am usually a small in miik pants but these fit in xsmall as they are very stretchy and long. Thanks Miik for introducing me to my new FAVE pants!!

      Great pants!

I have a very difficult time trying to find pants that are flattering and comfortable. These are. I originally purchased a small in the French terry- but changed to a small in the black pointe. The fit was much better as the french terrry was a bit too big. Although not as stretchy as the French terry The material is super comfy!

Hi Susan, so happy to hear that the Ponte was a better fit for you. Both fabrics are definitely super comfy and don't feel like dress pants at all!

      Great at first

I've been trying to buy clothing made in Canada which is why I splurged on these. When I first got them, I was in love. I sized down to a large, and I guess I should have sized down more? When I first tried them on they fit amazing and made my booty look good too. Now, after not even a day of wearing them, they are so stretched they literally are falling off my hips. They're definitely comfortable, but wow the stretch is too much.

Hi Megan, I'm sorry to hear the fit on these isn't what you expected. The French Terry fabric is definitely a very stretchy material, but it should not expand like that. This is the first we've heard of this! Would you mind emailing me at so I can get some more details from you? Thanks! - Johanna

      Expensive leggings

These pants are very comfortable and the fabric is lovely. However they are described as “the tailored look of a trouser” and that’s simply not true. They are basically very fancy leggings in a thicker fabric. They don’t look like a dress pant. Since I am doing most of my work over Zoom anyway I am keeping them but I would not wear these in an office setting otherwise and they’re expensive for what are pretty much just leggings. Maybe pockets or other details would help them look more like real pants.

Hi Jenn, thank. you very much for leaving a review. I'm sorry to hear that these pants didn't live up to your expectations in terms of a work pant. It sounds like you ordered the French Terry fabric - it is a softer and less structured fabric than our Ponte and Houndstooth options (both of which are more structured). If you're interested in exchanging for a different fabric that could transition better into your office setting, send me an email at and I'm happy to set something up for you. Again, so sorry to hear that these weren't what you were hoping for! - Johanna

      Fabric stretch

Making an effort to buy Canadian as much as possible and really like this company. Love the feel/fabric of the Avery pant and felt great the first time I wore them, however, there is quite a bit of stretch after washing and hanging to dry. Loose fit, now, and I will have to have them hemmed for the second time. Other than the stretch, they are great pants...just don’t buy them too big.

Hi Karen, thank you for leaving a review and for your feedback! I'm not sure which fabric of pant you ended up purchasing (ponte, houndstooth, or french terry) – but we do recommend laying flat to dry. Especially in the houndstooth and french terry, the fabric is considerably heavy and when it gets wet it's even heavier! Gravity does it's work when you hang these fabrics to dry and you will get a bit of stretching out. Great for those who have longer legs, but like you said for many it will mean hemming!

Thanks again for leaving a review, Karen!
